Finland has seen significant investments in fiber technology in recent years, signaling a commitment to innovation and sustainability in fashion. Despite this, there remains a noticeable lack of direct investment in consumer fashion brands, an area ripe for growth and capable of elevating Finland's position in the global fashion industry. Fashion X VC Funding event, coinciding with Arctic15, aims to spotlight this gap by emphasizing the urgent need for venture capital in these brands.
The event’s objectives are twofold: to highlight Finnish fashion brands’ potential to make a meaningful impact on both the environment and the economy, and to underscore the strategic importance of early-stage investments in these brands. By directing investments toward the consumer brand goods sector, the goal is to create a robust ecosystem that not only counters the fast fashion trend but also enhances Finland’s contributions to the global market through increased exports.
